Senyelistli is the Nahuatl word for family.

Having lived in four different countries (Mexico, US, Italy and Greece), and leaving many artists/friends behind, once a year, I will make space at AAA3A to showcase the work of an artist/friend who lives in a different city or hails from another country.  The invited artist/friend will be one that I admire, respect and treasure dearly.  They are artists/friends that continue to create despite all odds; and they have extended their work beyond their personal practice.  As a result of their social engagement and for the many ways they transform and influence their local communities, I consider them my close senyelistli.

Cesar Viveros

My intimate relationship with paper

December 2 - 31, 2023

Txutxo Perez  –Senyelistli I–

Personal Problems, Public Anthems

December 1, 2018 - January 15, 2019

"Txutxo Perez is a major force in Mission Arts.  His audacious work is sacred and edgy, influenced by traditional Mexican graphic forms but evolved to an evocative, sensuous, playful world of dancers, masked wrestlers, new and old deities..."
