Intimate Family / Friends Workshops at AAA3A

Duration:  2021

2021 continued to be a challenging year for all of us; we continued losing family members and friends and it was difficult to unite.  Until this day, many of us continue mourning the loss of a loved one and/or now facing many unexpected challenges.  It is our deepest wish that soon we all find the strength and hope to move forward, together...

And this is why AAA3A didn't close its doors completely.

Thanks to the generosity and kindness of great friends in Walnut Creek, California, AAA3A was able to provide small intimate gatherings with families, or pod members who were comfortable enough to leave their homes to share a workshop, a meal and be together in the same space, despite all the difficulties we encountered to do just that.

In April, AAA3A also joined in the celebration of Día del Niño (Children's Day)/ Mother's Day, with a human rights running club that we are in complete solidarity with known as Running For Ayotzinapa 43.  Members visited AAA3A and made kites that were flown in Central Park during a 5K run organized by RFA43.   Others made presents for all moms and beautiful piñatas for all children in attendance.  It was a wonderful day to celebrate children and moms and also to remind everyone that 43 parents in Mexico, and don Antonio Tizapa here in Brooklyn, still do not know what happened to their sons that went missing on September 26, 2014. Certainly, their search and demand will end the day they finally know the truth.  Until then, AAA3A is in solidarity with them.
