Autumn Art Printmaking
Led by artist Tammy Wofsey

Duration:  Sunday, October 13, 2019

Fall is in the air!  We did a lot of work this year...  We planted seeds and helped the fruits of our labor grow.  As the days get colder, it is time to harvest.  Let us get together and celebrate the changing seasons.  In this workshop, we printed one of a kind monotype prints and cards to give to friends, loved ones or to keep.  We used Tammy's etching press and types press for creating our artwork.  We took leaves from our favorite local trees or seeds from a vegetable and we used them for printing our creations.

About the artist:  Tammy Wofsey lives and works in the South Bronx as a book artist and printmaker.  She grew up in Colorado and attended SUNY College at Purchase, NY where she took her first book arts class with Antoni Frasconi.  This experience began her love for printmaking and the process, texture, and image of the embossed page.

In a place as busy as New York City, it is extremely difficult to gather friends to share special moments.   This is why AAA3A decided to create a series of workshops conducted by local artists and crafted by and for artists' friends and/or neighbors.  In addition to introducing a new technique and/or skill, each encounter concluded with the sharing of a meal.  The support for these workshops arrived from California and we are eternally grateful to this extraordinary family that continues to support AAA3A since its inception.
